Hosting more than 180 million images for more than 31,000 users, eBridge clientele includes independent and exclusive insurance agents, medical billing companies, doctors, financial consultants, attorneys, county governments and many other small to medium sized companies.

eBridge is dedicated to pioneering document storage and processing to completely alleviate the space and time constraints associated with paper file storage. The imaging technology embedded in eBridge Solutions' web-based software is a critical component of their software development efforts. This solution is deployed within multiple industries, so eBridge need to support a wide range of requirements, such as those in the tightly-regulated healthcare industry.

In the past, eBridge used a combination of imaging technologies in their web-based software. It soon became apparent a better imaging SDK was needed to further develop the scanning product. The software development team tried other providers, but found that ImagXpress from Accusoft met their needs best. Other providers didn't provide the customer service and code-writing quality that eBridge Solutions wanted.

In 2008, eBridge replaced all Atalasoft, Black Ice, and Microsoft Windows GDI components with Accusoft SDKs, specifically ImagXpress and Barcode Xpress. Accusoft offered better technology, responsive support, competitive pricing and helpful customer service.

eBridge currently licenses ImagXpress to scan, view, annotate, clean up and convert documents. Barcode Xpress is used to help index, store, and retrieve electronic documents using 1D barcodes.

"The TwainPRO component within ImagXpress handles TIFF processing more effectively than any other provider's product we've tried," says James Hanlon, CIO at eBridge. "The ImagXpress code is by far the best available, facilitates faster development on our end, and has fewer bugs in the code than most."

Accusoft stepped up to the plate with a complete SDK solution that would replace a combination of competitive technologies. A partnership with Accusoft met all of the extensive feature and support requirements.

"Their support is awesome," says James. "In fact, they deliver some of the best technical support we've ever encountered and we hope our own technical support is as good! We look forward to broadening our usage of additional Accusoft technologies in the future."
